03 Kista Limitless
Kista Limitless speaks for Kista, the tech district north of Stockholm. Four property owners are behind it — Corem, Castellum, Vasakronan and Akademiska Hus — and it works with Kista Science City, the City of Stockholm and Stockholm Business Region to keep the area somewhere people want to work rather than somewhere they pass through.
The site carries two things at once: what is happening now, and what the research says. På gång collects news and events. Rapporter holds the longer publications, like Steget ut ur labbet, on researchers who take an idea out of the lab and turn it into a company. Both are ordinary editable content, so the team publishes without going through a developer.
The reports are not dressed like the rest of the site. They carry their own palette and their own typeface, defined as their own tokens, so a report reads as a publication in its own right while still living inside the same build. The angled cut through the imagery is done with a clip-path rather than pre-cut files, so any photograph the team uploads takes the shape without being prepared first.
My colleague at Wirke designed it. I did the development, including the report identity — a second look that had to sit inside one codebase without leaking into the rest of the site.
